AI4Gov-X has opened a funding call to help people across Europe take part in its training activities. Around €980,000 is available through two routes, with support of up to €5,000 per person.

Cost is one of the most common reasons people turn down a learning opportunity. The call is designed to take that barrier out of the equation.

The first route is for learners accepted to or enrolled in an official AI4Gov-X extracurricular activity. It reimburses up to 50% of eligible costs such as travel, accommodation and registration fees, capped at €5,000. Applicants can group several activities into a single application, though only one application per candidate will be approved.

The second route is for MagiX master’s students who hold an internship contract. It matches the stipend or salary documented in that contract, up to €5,000, and is open to students who are unemployed and meet the remaining eligibility conditions. The host organisation can be public or private, provided it is based in an eligible country.

Applications are submitted online through GoodGrants and assessed against published criteria, with every applicant receiving a written decision and justification. Five cut-off dates run through to 28 February 2027, so applicants can pick the one that fits their plans.

The call is open to nationals of all EU countries, along with Albania, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine. Funding is provided by POLI.design on behalf of the AI4Gov-X consortium, subject to eligibility and available funds.
